Who Owns Oakwood Homes Remnant Assets?
Oak Point Partners acquired the remnant assets of the OHC Liquidation Trust in December 2011.
On November 15, 2002, Oakwood Homes Corporation and its related entities (“Oakwood Homes”) filed a chapter 11 petition in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, assigned Case No. 0213396. A chapter 11 plan of liquidation was confirmed, which created the OHC Liquidation Trust.

About Oakwood Homes
Founded in 1946, Oakwood Homes was once the nation’s largest mobile home dealer and seventh largest mobile home manufacturer. Furnished with carpeting, appliances, and furniture, the company’s mobile homes often found permanent locations in trailer parks. Oakwood Homes operated ten factories in four states, as well as over 150 dealerships in 18 states. The company’s largest clientele became newlyweds and retirees. At its peak, the company employed about 12,000 people.
Oakwood Homes operated under several trade names including Freedom Homes, Golden West Homes, Homes by Oakwood, New Dimension Homes, Oakwood Acceptance, Oakwood Mobile Homes, Suburban Home Sales and Victory Home.
The former headquarters of Oakwood Homes was located in Greensboro, NC.
