On February 8, 2001, Furr’s Supermarkets, Inc. filed a chapter 11 petition in the United States Bankruptcy Court for New Mexico, assigned case no. 01-10779. The case was subsequently converted to Chapter 7 and a Trustee was appointed to wind down the estate for the benefit of creditors. Oak Point Partners, Inc. acquired the remnant assets of the Furr’s Supermarkets, Inc. Bankruptcy Estate in October 2014.
