Who Owns Atchison Casting Corporation Remnant Assets?

Oak Point Partners acquired the remnant assets of the Atchison Casting Corporation Bankruptcy Estate in April 2013.

On August 4, 2003, Atchison Casting Corporation and its related entities (“Atchison Casting”) filed a chapter 11 petition in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Missouri, assigned case No. 03-50965.  The case was converted to chapter 7 and a trustee appointed to manage the bankruptcy estate.

About Atchison Casting Corporation

Founded in 1991, Atchison Casting produced iron and non-ferrous castings and machinery for a wide variety of equipment, capital goods and consumer markets. The company was a leading consolidator in the casting industry. The castings weighed anywhere from a few ounces to 550,000 pounds. At its peak, the company operated 20 unites and employed 4,200 people.

Atchison Casting also operated under several trade names including Empire Steel Castings, Inverness Castings, LaGrange Foundry, Prospect Foundry and Quaker Alloy.

The former headquarters of Atchison Casting was located in St. Joseph, MO.
