Oak Point Partners acquired the remnant assets of the Amelia Island Company Bankruptcy Estate in July 2014.
On November 13, 2009, Amelia Island Company and its related entities (“Amelia Island”) filed a chapter 11 petition in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Florida, assigned Case No. 09-09601. A plan of reorganization was confirmed by the Court, which approved the appointment of a liquidating trustee.

The company employed approximately 1,100 people.
