Oak Point Partners acquired the remnant assets of the VEC Liquidating Corporation, et al. (Velocity Express Corporation) Bankruptcy Estates in December 2016.
On September 24, 2009, Velocity Express filed a chapter 11 petition in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, assigned Case No. 09-13294. On July 14, 2010, the Court appointed a Wind Down Professional, charged with winding down the Velocity Express estate for the benefit of creditors. On November 12, 2013, the Court entered an order dismissing the Velocity Express bankruptcy case. Thereafter, on March 10, 2014, the Court entered an order modifying the original dismissal order, whereby the Wind Down Professional is authorized to wind down Velocity Express’s affairs, including the liquidation of assets.
