Oak Point Partners acquired the remnant assets of The Carlbrook School, LLC Bankruptcy Estate (Carlbrook School) in May 2017.
On February 17, 2016, Carlbrook School (the “Debtor”) filed a petition for relief under chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Virginia, assigned Case No. 16-60268. On September 23, 2016, the Court confirmed the Amended Plan of Liquidation, pursuant to which the Debtor was vested with the power to liquidate its remaining assets.
About The Carlbrook School, LLC
Founded in 2002, Carlbrook School was a school for gifted students grades 9 through 12. The school graduated almost 700 alumni and at its peak enrolled 130 students each year. In its first decade, the school’s graduates were accepted to over 500 college and universities.
The former headquarters of Carlbrook School was located in South Boston, VA.
