Oak Point Partners acquired the remnant assets of the PowerMax, Inc. Litigation Trust (PowerMax) in December 2018.
On March 14, 2014, PowerMax filed a voluntary petition under chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Maryland, assigned Case No. 14-13996. Thereafter, the Court entered an order confirming the Debtor’s Third Amended Plan of Liquidation, pursuant to which the Trust was created and a Litigation Trustee was appointed and vested with the power and duty to administer the assets of the Debtor.
