On August 6, 2013, Haas Environmental filed a voluntary chapter 11 petition in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey, assigned Case No. 13-27297. Thereafter, the case was converted to chapter 7, and a trustee was appointed to liquidate the remaining assets of the estate.
About Haas Environmental, Inc.
Founded in 1996, Haas Environmental was a provider of industrial cleaning and environmental remediation services for steel mills, production plants, emergency spill response, and various other facilities. Becoming one of the largest service providers to the steel mill industry, Haas Environmental had many divisions located in the eastern half of the United States. The company offered aid following Hurricane Katrina, vacuuming over 16,000 catch basins and jetting over 400 miles of drainage pipe.
