Who Owns Consolidated Freightways Remnant Assets?
Oak Point Partners acquired the remnant assets of the Trust for Certain Creditors of Consolidated Freightways Corporation in September 2012.
On September 3, 2002, Consolidated Freightways Corporation and its related entities (“Consolidated Freightways”) filed a chapter 11 petition in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California, assigned Case No. 02-24284. Thereafter, a Chapter 11 Plan was confirmed, which transferred assets to the Trust for Certain Creditors of Consolidated Freightways Corporation.

About Consolidated Freightways
Founded in 1929, Consolidated Freightways operated one of the largest transportation networks in the world, providing trucking, air freight forwarding and supply chain management services throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico. As the nation’s third largest trucking companies, it handled “Less than Truckload” pallet-sized shipments of freight. The company operated 30,000 trucks, possessed 350 terminals, and employed over 18,000 people.
Consolidated Freightways operated under several trade names including CF AirFreight Corporation, CF Motor Freight, CF MovesU.com, Leland James Service Corporation and Redwood Systems Inc.
The former headquarters of Consolidated Freightways was located in Vancouver, WA.
