Who Owns Breuners Home Furnishings Remnant Assets?
Oak Point Partners acquired the remnant assets of the Breuners Home Furnishings Corp., et al. Bankruptcy Estate in September 2012.
On July 14, 2004, Breuners Home Furnishings Corp. and its related entities (“Breuners Home Furnishings”) filed a chapter 11 petition in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, assigned case No. 04-12030. The case was subsequently converted to a chapter 7 bankruptcy and a Trustee was appointed to liquidate the estate’s assets.

About Breuners Home Furnishings
Founded in 1856, Breuners Home Furnishings was a national furniture retailer. The company originated from the need to provide for prospectors during the California Gold Rush in the mid-19th century. In 1994, Michael Solomon and Kidd Kamm changed the parent name of Breuners, Huffman Koos, and Good’s Furniture to Breuners Home Furnishings Corp. The brand carried key furniture brands and lines, such as Thomasville and Stanley and Bernhardt. Breuners reached its peak in the Furniture/Today’s latest Top 100 at No. 11 in 1997 and 1998 through its furniture, bedding and accessory sales. Breuners operated over 50 retail stores and employed 1,500 people at its height.
Breuners Home Furnishings also operated under several trade names including Arnold’s Home Furnishings, Huffman Koos Inc. and Goods Furniture and Carpet.
The former headquarters of Breuners Home Furnishings was located in Lancaster, PA.
