Who Owns BPZ Resources, Inc. Remnant Assets?
Oak Point Partners acquired the remnant assets of the BPZ Liquidating Trust of BPZ Resources, Inc. (BPZ Resources) in December 2019.
On March 9, 2015, BPZ Resources filed a voluntary petition under chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas, assigned Case No. 15-60016. On November 12, 2015, the Court entered an order confirming the Second Amended Plan of Liquidation, pursuant to which the Trust was created and a Liquidating Trustee was appointed and vested with the power and duty to administer the assets of the Debtor.
