Oak Point Partners acquired the remnant assets of the Blackcat Trading Company, LLC Liquidating Creditors’ Trust (Blackcat Trading) in June 2018.
On December 9, 2013, Blackcat Trading filed a voluntary petition under chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas, assigned Case No. 13-45594. On July 17, 2014, the Court entered an order confirming the Debtor’s Amended Plan of Liquidation, pursuant to which the Trust was created and the Liquidating Trustee was appointed, and both were vested with the power and duty to administer certain assets of the Debtor.
