David Linn, Executive Vice President and Board Member at Oak Point Partners, capturing his multifaceted life journey from McKinsey & Company to founding Cycle for Survival, alongside his passion for travel and soccer.

David Linn is an Executive Vice President and Board Member at Oak Point Partners. David has 20+ years of experience in principal investing. Prior to Oak Point, David was at McKinsey & Company and at CenterPost Communications. While at McKinsey, David had a unique arrangement whereby he took a 5-month leave of absence every year to play soccer professionally with the Chicago Stingers Professional Soccer Club.

While David’s late wife Jen was living with cancer for 7 years, the two of them started Cycle for Survival, the movement to beat rare cancers. Cycle for Survival has raised more than $375 million (and counting), with 100% of those funds going directly into rare cancer research.

David holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School. He has a BA, with highest distinction, from Northwestern University, where he was captain of the Varsity Soccer Team.

David loves to travel and tries to visit at least one new country every year.
