Oak Point has extensive experience in completing transactions with bankruptcy estates and in the commercial asset recovery business. In fact, Oak Point has completed purchases of residual assets in over 150 bankruptcy cases over the past 5 years, spread among Chapter 11 cases, Chapter 7 cases, and out of court liquidations.

We serve as a unique resource for bankruptcy trustees, creditors committees, secured lenders, restructuring officers, and business managers in several ways. We provide sellers with an outlet to generate cash from assets that they may have previously written off or abandoned. We also offer an easy process to complete a transaction. We make fast decisions, we do not require extensive diligence and we will purchase even with limited access to historical documentation.

We will execute transactions anywhere in the United States, and will consider international transactions in selected areas. Our focus is exclusively commercial. We do not purchase any consumer-related portfolios.

Oak Point’s principals own and operate a specialty commercial collection agency, C&W Consultants, Inc dba CW Recovery. Founded in 1984, CW Recovery has a strong expertise in the recovery of highly-aged claims and complex claims. Oak Point’s principals purchased CW Recovery in 2003, gaining access to its expertise and proven track record.
